There’s always something exciting that we’re working on at c6 Carbon and Chris’s Phantom Black metallic Audi A3 Sportback always has something new going on.
Chris spoke to me about the ideas he had for the car. He wanted to keep the OEM theme going on with a series of subtle modifications to the interior as well as getting us to complement one challenging Audi modification that hadn’t been tackled before. In keeping with the theme we knew that carbon would keep this on track without being too brash.
Chris shipped the parts up to us and we began to work our magic. The list of parts to modify included:-
- Front and rear door inserts to be wrapped in carbon
- The ashtray to be wrapped in carbon
- The big project was the gear gaitor surround to be done in carbon to match the modified Audi TT gear knob and gaitor that Chris had fitted
The parts were turned around pretty fast as Chris needed them back as he was heading out to M.I.V.W in Holland and luckily we got them done and sent out in time for the car to make it’s European debut.
As you can from the photos the finished parts look fantastic within the already modified interior of the Audi A3 sportback, and Chris has already sent us more parts to transform ready for the first show of 2012, Ultimate Dubs.
